Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience designing process improvements preferred.
• Experience with CMS Aderant, Sage, and Emburse is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own key components of month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries with appropriate classification and documentation.
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts monthly and investigate variances.
• Serve as SME for general ledger and chart of accounts in the accounting system.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capitalization thresholds.
• Become SME in Sage and CMS Aderant; oversee related processes.
• Coordinate domestic and international tax reporting and liaise with external advisors.
• Prepare property and sales/use tax filings across jurisdictions.
• Compile audit schedules for external audits and provide supporting docs.
• Develop and document accounting policies to improve efficiency and controls.
• Respond to information requests and provide analysis to other departments.
• Identify and implement process improvements; prepare ad-hoc analyses.
• Support treasury functions and special projects; mentor staff as team grows.
