Job summary

Chime is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead external financial reporting on the Controllership team. You will own public filings (10-Q/10-K/8-K), equity accounting under ASC 718, and statutory reporting, partnering with Legal, FP&A and auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You’ll drive the reporting calendar, document controls, and SOX-compliant policies while enabling scalable processes for a growing multi‑entity structure. Strong GAAP knowledge and Big 4 exposure are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 6+ years of accounting experience.
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA preferred with deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules.
• Experience preparing Form 10-Q/10-K/8-K.
• Ownership of stock-based compensation accounting.
• Intercompany and statutory reporting experience.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using AI tools to improve accounting workflows; Workiva/NetSuite/Shareworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K/8-K).
• Manage reporting calendar, disclosure checklists, XBRL tagging, and coordination across teams.
• Own equity accounting under ASC 718 for RSUs, options and ESPP.
• Prepare and review statutory and regulatory financial statements and filings.
• Establish scalable intercompany accounting processes for multi-entity structure.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis at month-end close.
• Document and maintain SOX-compliant policies and drive automation of close tasks.
