Elements Lighting + Decor, a leading luxury lighting and home décor retailer in the United States, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and drive accurate financial reporting. The role partners with ownership to manage the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of full-cycle accounting, strong QuickBooks and ADP payroll experience, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Experience processing payroll through ADP.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience preparing monthly financial statements.
• Experience preparing and filing New York and Florida sales tax returns.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and cash management.
• Reconcile daily retail and e-commerce activity, monitor cash balances, and process reconciliations with bank and card processors.
• Prepare weekly pay runs, maintain payroll records, and coordinate payroll tax filings.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tax-related tasks, including NY/FL returns.
• Maintain vendor records, issue payments, and manage accounts payable.
• Assist with year-end financial reporting and audits as requested.
• Support inventory accounting and reconciliation activities.
