Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
• CPA preferred.
• Biotechnology, life sciences, CMC or R&D accrual experience preferred.
• Experience supporting system implementations, workflow automation, data validation, or AI-enabled tools is a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite required; experience with Prendio, Coupa and Expensify is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting areas such as R&D and CMC accruals and other liabilities.
• Support the team in various financial reporting activities while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, supporting schedules, and flux analyses.
• Collaborate with other functions to obtain inputs and assumptions for monthly accrual determination.
• Analyze financial results, account activity, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, unusual transactions, and reporting variances.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Help draft and maintain accounting policies and SOPs.
• Use AI, automation, and process simplification to implement improvements in financial reporting, accounting controls, operational efficiency, and compliance.
