Job summary

The Greene Group in Long Island City is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee a four-person GL team and drive accurate monthly closes. You will work closely with senior leadership, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting and timely financial statements.

Qualifications

• Deep GAAP knowledge and ability to prepare accurate financial statements.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating with senior leadership.
• Strong oversight of month-end close processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger processes and monthly close calendar.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Manage journal entries, allocations, and revenue/expenses across ledgers.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Lead and mentor the GL team to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Billing and AR to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
