Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee day-to-day accounting, close processes, and GAAP-based reporting for multiple entities in the United States. You will implement strong controls, partner with external providers, and lead a small team while leveraging NetSuite, Power BI, Looker and Excel to improve visibility and accuracy.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, improving processes, and ensuring timely, accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting, month-end close, reconciliations and GAAP reporting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis).
• Able to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and communicate with both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
• NetSuite management preferred; experience with Power BI/Looker/Tableau is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities.
• Support accurate monthly financial reporting and close processes.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and documentation.
• Coordinate with outside tax preparers, auditors, and external partners.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and department-level financial tracking.
• Improve reporting dashboards and financial visibility using NetSuite, Power BI, Looker, Excel.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
