Job summary

Education Management & Networks, Inc. (EMAN) is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager in Southfield, MI to lead hands-on accounting efforts reporting to the CFO. The role covers AR/AP, monthly close, payroll processes, and financial reporting for EMAN and partner schools.

The right candidate will have strong GAAP fundamentals, a detail-oriented mindset, and a pathway to a Controller-level seat as the company scales. In-person work is expected in Southfield.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of accounting, finance, payroll, or related experience.
• Strong GAAP-based reporting fundamentals.
• Experience with payroll and benefits processing.

Responsibilities

• Support and eventually own key parts of the monthly close process.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain GAAP-based financial records.
• Reconcile AR, payroll-related accounts, inter-company activity, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support CFO with monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
