Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking.
• Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years in accounting/auditing/financial ops.
• Bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years in accounting/auditing/financial ops.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus four years in accounting/auditing/financial ops.
• An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics plus three years in accounting/auditing/financial operations.
• CPA license plus two years of experience in accounting/auditing/financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply GAAP, GAAS, Federal Grant Programs, and related policies.
• Prepare financial information to provide insights on resource use by the agency.
• Develop goals and measurable standards for subordinate fiscal units.
• Oversee preparation of complex financial reports: program budget, cost, and revenue forecasting.
• Ensure general ledger reflects daily payments and proper coding of accounts.
• Monitor and approve federal program drawdowns, banking transfers, and daily cash balances.
• Document staff performance for performance planning and reviews.
• Interview and commend applicants for hire.
