Job summary

Remtec, Inc. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role focuses on strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and supporting business decisions within a growing manufacturing environment.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with external auditors, manage GL/AP/AR, monitor cash flow, and provide insightful financial analysis to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or operational accounting experience is a plus; CPA or advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules.
• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management.
• Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and other providers.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain accounting systems and financial data integrity.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to management.
• Provide backup support for payroll processing when needed.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, as applicable.
• Support special projects and other financial initiatives.
