Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee our client’s day-to-day accounting operations in Simpsonville, SC with financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and related accounting functions.

The role requires strong accounting leadership, GAAP knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will mentor the accounting staff, manage internal controls, and support external audits while ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and financial skills.
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting for foreign currency transactions.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related documentation requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, Lookups, formulas).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience managing accounting functions and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process with accurate reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategy and decision-making.
• Coordinate with departments to meet financial needs and reporting.
• Oversee procure-to-pay and inventory costing processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and annual departmental consolidation.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and tax preparers.
