Job summary

VidAngel is building out its internal finance capabilities and establishing a rigorous, scalable accounting function for the first time. The Senior Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function from the ground up, implementing systems, documentation, and a regular reporting cadence as the business scales.

You’ll work directly with the CFO, own the monthly close, and drive controls and processes that support rapid growth, with high visibility to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active or inactive CPA license.
• 3-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to team coordination or project ownership.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing monthly close processes in a technology, SaaS, or subscription-based environment.
• Proficiency with modern accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, or similar).
• Detail-oriented with a bias toward accuracy, process discipline, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly close process with CFO oversight.
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Ensure the integrity and completeness of financial statements—income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows.
• Support revenue recognition and cash management in partnership with CFO.
• Develop scalable accounting processes and internal controls.
