Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and New Business Development, the Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the commercial FP&A function for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Inc. - North America. This role partners with both Local and Global Finance teams to ensure a timely and accurate month-end close, integrity of financial records, health of balance sheets, and preparation of useful financial reports. It contributes to building a robust finance function to support the continued growth of the North America business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support the direct report to ensure high confidence in their output.
- Maintain the daily flow of financial information for a timely month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure accurate completion of month-end close activities across general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
- Conduct pre-close review meetings to highlight concerns.
- Ensure accuracy of income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure their health and accuracy.
- Deliver analysis, schedules, and reports for assigned responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Partner with Global Finance on intercompany transactions.
- Assist with internal controls and accounting policies to promote governance and accurate reporting.
- Coordinate internal audit processes and ensure timely delivery of audit requests.
- Research technical accounting issues and provide expert guidance.
- Support ad hoc projects as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA required.
- 7+ years of accounting experience, Big 4 experience preferred.
- Extensive month-end and financial reporting experience.
- Motivated self-starter, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar financial systems.
- Interest or experience in retail and beauty industries is a plus.
