Job summary

Zoox is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting processes, ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP, and work closely with FP&A on accruals and capitalization.

You will manage general ledger activities, prepare monthly closings, support annual audits, and drive improvements across systems and controls. This role requires a detail-oriented team player with strong Excel and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information weekly.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Assist team with annual audit and tax filings.
• Conduct regular general ledger maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to insure accuracy in accruals.
• Continuously assess and improve accounting systems and processes.

Zoox's accounting team plays a pivotal role in ensuring Zoox operates efficiently and sustainably by providing accurate financial management, compliance, and strategic insights.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to play a crucial role in managing accounting processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Working closely with the FP&A team to ensure accurate accruals and capitalization.This person is responsible for activities related to the general ledger, month-endclose, and annual financial audit. The successful candidate will be dedicated, trustworthy, detail-oriented and customer-focused with excellentcommunication skills.

In this role, you will:

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, andaccount analysis

Base Salary Range

$140,000 - $168,000 a year

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
