Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field required.
• Seven+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting, close, budgeting, audit support and accounting operations.
• CPA license preferred, but not required.
• Experience in property management, real estate, construction, development, or multi-entity accounting strongly preferred.
• Direct hands-on experience with Entrata or comparable integrated property management and accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Direct the accounting activities of multiple entities, ensuring accurate GAAP reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and segregation of duties.
• Oversee annual operating and capital budgeting, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Oversee cash management, treasury, banking relationships, debt, and financing activities.
• Coordinate tax return support and audits with external tax advisors and partners.
• Lead audits and compliance reviews including HUD, IRS, and other regulatory reviews.
• Oversee asset accounting, depreciation, and project accounting; ensure data integrity across systems.
