Job summary

Wifco Steel Products, Inc. seeks an Accounting Lead (Senior Staff Accountant) to join our Hutchinson, Kansas team. This on-site role reports to the CFO and anchors month-end close, financial reporting, and cost/inventory accounting in a family-owned manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has five years of hands-on accounting experience in manufacturing, excellent communication, and strong ERP skills. CPA is not required, and no direct supervisory duties are included.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Month-end close, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable.
• Experience with ERP/financial reporting systems (NetSuite is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees day-to-day accounting functions.
• Prepares financial reports, budgeting support, and audit support.
• Maintains GL accounts and reconciliations.
• Manages inventory and cost accounting activities.
• Assists CFO with month-end and year-end close and audits.
• Communicates professionally with staff, management, and external parties.
