Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $60.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned business units while ensuring accurate and timely results.

Manage month end close processes including account reconciliations journal entries and financial statement preparation.

Oversee project and contract accounting activities by reviewing revenue recognition cost tracking and operational performance.

Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights support business decisions and resolve accounting matters.

Support audits reporting requirements and process improvement initiatives that strengthen financial controls and efficiency.

Requirements:

A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field.

5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a professional environment.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and internal control practices.

Possess experience with month end close general ledger accounting reconciliations and business unit financial support.

Maintain proficiency with Excel enterprise resource planning systems and financial reporting tools.

Qualifications:

Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate financial performance and resolve complex accounting issues.
