Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to join a growing real estate development team. This role offers high visibility, opportunities for advancement, and collaboration with key stakeholders on financial reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven expertise with month-end close and ERP systems. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with CPA or a Master's degree preferred.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to learn, grow, and advance professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for an assigned portfolio.
• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support annual audits and tax preparation activities.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls.
