Job description

POSITION : Senior Accounting Assistant - Western AgCredit

LOCATION : South Jordan, Utah

GRADE : 9 (minimum-maximum range ($45,703-$67,252) depending on education and experience. Comprehensive benefits package also provided.

RESPONSIBILITY : Execute daily banking transactions including processing loan receipts, disbursements, and commercial drafts for borrowers. Maintain loan accounting subledger which includes loan booking and updating loan information. General ledger accounting including reconciling any out of balance conditions. Support borrowers, staff, and others with their loan accounting questions and requests. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE : Minimum of Associate's degree in accounting, business or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year accounting experience preferred. Proficient with computers and applicable software, along with 10-key required. Good understanding of basic accounting principles. Ability to process a large volume of transactions daily with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and meet daily deadlines. Ability to interact effectively with others using good verbal and interpersonal skills.

GENERAL DATA : For over 100 years, Western AgCredit has been providing agricultural lending services to commercial and mortgage borrowers in Utah and portions of Wyoming, Nevada, and Arizona.
