Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, plus 3-5 years of accounting/financial management experience.
• Experience with automated accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; proficient with Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and federal/state regulations; high integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close to ensure timely, accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Maintain supporting schedules and complete reconciliations timely and accurately.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and capital asset policies on projects.
• Conduct forecasts, variance analyses, and provide insights for decision-making.
• Prepare financial and statistical reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Ensure operations comply with GAAP and applicable laws; assist audits and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams; serve as backup for general ledger functions as needed.
• Leverage financial technologies to improve performance; handle special projects.
