Benedictine seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst to lead accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, and related financial systems. This role supports our mission by strengthening financial operations and internal controls.

The role collaborates with Finance, IT, and department leaders; expects accuracy, process improvement, and strong analytical skills. Hybrid schedule with potential weekend audits during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, fixed assets, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage accounts payable activities: invoice processing, vendor maintenance, payments, ACHs, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Review credit card and prepaid card transactions for reconciliation and policy compliance.
• Maintain vendor records, onboarding, tax documents, and payment changes.
• Analyze and reconcile sales tax data and coordinate annual vendor tax reporting (1099).
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, inventories, and capital projects documentation.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, analyses, and schedules for monthly/annual close.
• Ensure transactions comply with GAAP, internal controls, and org policies.
• Serve as primary resource for AP and fixed asset systems, including reporting and user support.
• Partner with Finance/IT/vendors to improve financial systems/workflows.
• Provide guidance on expenses, coding, documentation, and payment status.
