Job summary

DRiV, the Aftermarket business group of Tenneco, seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst to lead day-to-day accounting operations for the aftermarket segment. You will oversee GL activity, financial reporting, and audits, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, manufacturing or automotive experience, and a proven ability to lead and develop a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or automotive aftermarket industry is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of working across teams and levels.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger entries.
  • Review and prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS as applicable).
  • Support external and internal audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Corporate Accounting.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff; provide performance feedback and support professional development.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support system implementations or upgrades.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst to lead day-to-day accounting operations for our aftermarket automotive business.
