Job summary

PACCAR in Denton, TX is seeking a financial analyst to support cost accounting and reporting. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, internal controls, and inventory valuation to ensure accurate financial statements.

Requisition Summary

This position will be expected to perform a variety financial analysis and cost accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budgets and partner with operations department managers to ensure budgets and forecasts are achieved
• Assist in preparation of monthly forecasts.
• Participate in month-end closing duties, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, analyzing key accounts and reporting results to the financial reporting group.
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations
• Ensure proper internal controls are in place and perform tests to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Provide pertinent financial / accounting data to management on a monthly basis.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation based on performance of interim inventories, factor reviews, and assistance in planning and executing a bi-annual physical inventory.
• Participate with special projects as required.
• No travel is to be expected with this role.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required.
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting Required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP, Manufacturing Accounting.
• CPA Certified.
• Public accounting and/or Cost Accounting experience.
