Job summary

Henderson Drake Ltd. in San Francisco seeks a Senior Consultant for Accounting Advisory to support technical accounting, financial reporting, and transaction-related projects.

This fully remote, full-time role offers exposure to acquisitions, IPO readiness, and other significant financial events, with direct access to experienced advisers and senior client stakeholders. CPA eligibility and 3+ years in public accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in public accounting, accounting advisory, audit, or transaction services.
• Active CPA licence or actively working toward certification.
• Strong US GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience on technical accounting or transaction-related engagements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Strong analytical instincts and a genuine interest in developing within a client-facing advisory environment.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting advisory engagements across technical accounting, financial reporting, and transaction-related projects.
• Work with clients through acquisitions, divestitures, IPO readiness, and other strategic events.
• Research accounting guidance and prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation.
• Work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and finance teams on accounting and reporting challenges.
• Contribute to the preparation and review of financial reporting deliverables.
• Take part in client meetings, workshops, and project planning sessions.
