Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, audit, or accounting advisory.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field.
• CPA eligibility or recent CPA qualification.
• Strong US GAAP background with ability to research and document conclusions.
• Clear written communication skills for technical memoranda.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze technical accounting matters under US GAAP (M&A, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation).
• Prepare accounting memoranda, financial analyses, and recommendations for engagement leaders.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, IPO preparation, and other significant transactions.
• Assist with financial statements, SEC filings, and related reporting requirements.
• Build financial models, forecasts, and supporting analyses.
• Collaborate with client finance teams, auditors, and other advisors to gather information and resolve accounting matters.
• Manage assigned workstreams, report progress, and ensure timely delivery of engagements.

The firm supports clients through significant transactions and reporting challenges, including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, carve-outs, spin-offs, restructurings, and technical accounting matters.

About the role

This is a client-facing opportunity for a Senior Consultant to work alongside experienced advisory professionals and client finance teams on complex transactions and technical accounting engagements.

You will conduct technical analysis, prepare clear accounting memoranda and other client deliverables for review, and help organizations navigate demanding financial reporting requirements.

What you’ll be doing

• Researching and analyzing technical accounting matters under US GAAP, including business combinations, revenue recognition, and stock-based compensation
• Preparing accounting memoranda, financial analyses, and recommendations for review by engagement leaders
• Supporting clients through acquisitions, divestitures, IPO preparation, and other significant transactions
• Assisting with financial statements, SEC filings, and related reporting requirements
• Building financial models, forecasts, and supporting analyses
• Working with client finance teams, auditors, and other advisors to gather information and resolve accounting matters
• Managing assigned workstreams, communicating progress, and contributing to the timely delivery of engagements

What we’re looking for

• Typically 3+ years of experience within public accounting, audit, or accounting advisory
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field
• CPA eligibility or recent CPA qualification
• A strong accounting background, with further study such as a master’s degree in accounting considered advantageous
• Sound knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to research and document technical accounting conclusions
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Clear written communication skills, particularly when preparing technical accounting memoranda
• The ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with clients and colleagues
• An interest in complex transactions and financial reporting
• Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight when required
