Job summary

CrossCountry Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced professional to join our Accounting Advisory practice in Texas. You will advise on complex accounting matters, support financial reporting, and contribute to AI-enabled client solutions in a collaborative environment with coaching from leaders.

The role demands 3+ years in financial reporting or related areas, a CPA/CA preferred, and a willingness to travel up to 30%. Hybrid work arrangement in a client-focused advisory firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with companies in financial reporting, operational accounting, implementing new accounting policies, complex transactions.
• Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm).
• Prior experience with operational accounting and/or accounting and reporting for one or more of the following business topics: business combinations, divestitures, carve-outs, or IPOs.
• Strong operational and technical accounting background, including experience researching complex technical accounting issues proactively.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards - U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and/or IFRS.
• Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
• Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting (including the design of reporting processes, restatement assistance, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings).
• Operational Accounting (addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of finance and accounting functions).
• Advise on complex accounting and financial reporting matters, including implementation of new and existing accounting standards.
• Communicate effectively with the client to convey project findings, updates, and recommendations.
• Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
• Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members regarding business issues and potential solutions.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry leadership team members regarding business development opportunities.
