Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client in Georgia is seeking a Senior Accountant specialized in Workday Financials to provide temporary support for key financial operations and reporting. You will maintain general ledger accuracy, support financial close, analyze accounts, and assist with audits and reporting, leveraging Workday and advanced Excel skills in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires independence, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong foundation in accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive general ledger accounting experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
• Advanced proficiency in Workday Financials with the ability to independently navigate, research, troubleshoot, and resolve accounting-related issues.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support financial decision-making.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet critical deadlines with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day general ledger activities, including preparing and posting journal entries within the organization's financial system.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while meeting established reporting deadlines.
• Analyze financial transactions and resolve accounting-related discrepancies through detailed research and problem solving.
• Support accounting activities related to cash, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare audit schedules, account support, and other documentation required for internal and external reporting needs.
• Collaborate with accounting team members to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance process efficiency.
• Contribute to ongoing system optimization efforts by identifying and addressing accounting process gaps and data integrity issues.
