Atlantic Group in Detroit is seeking a Senior Accountant– Technical Accounting & Strategic Finance to lead complex accounting and financial reporting engagements across diverse clients.

This role offers exposure to U.S. GAAP guidance, SEC reporting, M&A activities, and process improvements, with collaboration across client leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience.
• CPA or active pursuit of CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with SEC reporting or transaction-related projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients on accounting and financial reporting projects.
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to technical accounting matters.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, SEC reporting, and disclosures.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, integrations, and other strategic transactions.
• Participate in IPO readiness, process improvement, and finance transformation projects.
• Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with client leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Manage multiple client engagements while meeting project deadlines.
