Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong technical accounting and SEC reporting expertise in Austin, TX. This hybrid, full-time direct-hire role focuses on U.S. GAAP, SEC filings, and complex accounting issues across the business to support external reporting and financial compliance.

The ideal candidate will research accounting guidance, prepare memos, and ensure internal controls and SOX compliance. Public company or Big Four experience is highly valued for this senior-level position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience supporting SEC filings and external financial reporting.
• Background in public accounting or publicly traded company is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q, statements, footnotes and disclosures.
• Support quarterly and annual external financial reporting processes and timelines.
• Research complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and document conclusions.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda with positions and guidance.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess impact on the company.
• Assist with implementing new accounting standards and reporting changes.
• Assist with complex transactions and ensure SOX/internal controls compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit requests.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury on accurate reporting.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close with journal entries and analyses.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls.
