Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant – Team Lead to oversee accounting and financial reporting while growing a professional team. You will manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, prepare statements, and ensure internal controls compliance.

You will apply IFRS guidance to complex transactions, support project accounting, and drive digitalization of reporting with SAP and analytics tools. Collaboration with auditors and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end/year-end close responsibilities.
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring accounting staff; Big Four/public accounting desirable.
• Strong IFRS research and application skills; ability to prepare accounting memos.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office; experience with data analytics/visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/Alteryx).

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of accounting professionals with direction and prioritization.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages.
• Manage month-/quarter-/year-end close processes; analyze variances and resolve issues.
• Apply IFRS guidance to complex transactions and document conclusions.
• Support project accounting, governance, and use automation to improve processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and cross-functional teams on accounting matters.
