Job summary

Google is seeking a senior Deal and Spend Governance professional to design and govern cross-functional spend workflows across real estate and infrastructure commitments. You will partner with Finance, Legal, and Product to enforce strong controls and drive risk-aware decisions.

Expect interaction with executive leadership and global teams. Compensation includes a US salary range of $128,000–$187,000 with a 15% bonus target, equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• CPA or CA certification is preferred.
• 7 years of accounting experience or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern cross-functional spend workflows for real estate and infrastructure commitments, collaborating across Finance, Legal, and Product.
• Influence executive leadership to address control framework gaps and develop scalable governance solutions.
• Identify and implement scalable process improvements, automating manual workflows and eliminating bespoke systems.
• Author, vet, and roll out cross-functional spend policies, leading targeted training for negotiation and commitment teams.
• Partner with stakeholders to test, optimize, and enforce spend authorization controls across contracting platforms with data-driven metrics.
