Job summary

Nautilus Biotechnology in Seattle seeks a Senior Accountant to maintain financial records, support a well-controlled month-end close, and oversee accounts payable. This highly visible role reports to the Associate Director of Accounting and collaborates with our offshore team.

You will strengthen internal controls, partner with FP&A and cross-functional teams, and help scale the company from pre-commercial to commercial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required or equivalent experience.
• CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly close with journal entries for accruals and prepaids.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve items.
• Maintain SOX 404 control documentation and testing.
• Improve close efficiency and controls in collaboration with teams.
• Partner with FP&A on accrual estimates and prepaid amortization.
• Support work papers for quarterly reviews and annual audit.
• Assist with policy implementation and system improvements.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as needed.
