Job summary

Hammitt, located in California, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role involves leading month-end processes, preparing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive general ledger experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Expert Excel skills including Pivot tables and Lookups.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, ASC 842).

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and reserves.
• Collaborate with external auditors and support audit documentation.

General ledger experience

Proficiency with Excel

Experience in consumer products or fashion

Detail oriented

Strong communication abilities

Knowledge of GAAP

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
