Job summary

KAEKO, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead complex accounting activities, strengthen financial reporting, and improve accounting systems. The role focuses on project accounting, job costing, and Sage Intacct expertise to support business decisions and profitability.

You will manage month-end close, prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, and collaborate with project managers and leadership on budgets and forecasts. This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Chandler, AZ.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in project accounting, job costing, contract billing and project profitability analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to translate needs into system requirements.
• Experience mentoring staff and coordinating with leadership and IT.
• Experience with Sage Intacct implementation and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports in GAAP alignment.
• Oversee project accounting, labor allocation, billing, revenue recognition, and profitability.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and vendor setup, coding, and collections.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership reviews.
• Lead Sage Intacct configurations, integrations, and data quality improvements.
• Mentor accounting staff and ensure confidentiality of financial information.
