Job summary

Jobot, a software company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This brand-new role will focus on revenue reporting across the organization and report to the Assistant Controller from their New York headquarters in a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, experience in public accounting and private industry (Big 4 preferred), familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce a plus), and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Experience in both public accounting and private industry is required (Big 4 preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems and CRM (NetSuite/Salesforce a plus).
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage key accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, revenue, billings, collections, and general ledger activities.
• Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial reporting support.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances between actuals and budget, and provide meaningful insights to leadership.
• Assisting in forecasting activities for revenue, billings and collections.
• Partner with external auditors and assist with annual audit preparation and requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support business decisions.
