Confidential Company in Chicago seeks a Senior Accountant to own monthly close, prepare journal entries, and provide timely financial reporting. You will collaborate with sales, operations, and finance to resolve issues and strengthen controls.

The role requires a BS in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including revenue accounting, and knowledge of ASC 606. Public accounting and CPA are a plus; manufacturing or project-based experience preferred.

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with revenue accounting.
• Hands-on knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Public accounting and CPA is a plus; manufacturing or project-based accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and schedules for monthly close.
• Analyze financial activity and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Review customer agreements and support revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance to resolve accounting issues.
• Support audits and help streamline processes and strengthen controls.
