Job summary

Blue Sky Utility is a fast-growing renewable energy platform developing and operating utility-scale solar assets across the U.S. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team.

This role is responsible for managing core accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the organization's financial health through sound analysis, budgeting, and compliance practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; renewable energy experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) in accordance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial results, identify variances from budget or prior periods, and communicate findings to leadership.
• Monitor and report on departmental and company-wide expenditures against approved budgets.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
