Job summary

SCAN is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure timely, accurate monthly close, ledger reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will prepare journal entries, review variances, and support audits and tax processes in a health plan environment when needed.

The role requires GAAP expertise, a bachelor’s in accounting, and 5–7 years of experience; CPA is preferred. This position offers a mostly remote work mode with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA preferred; 5–7 years of related accounting experience.
• Experience in healthcare, CMS, or Medicare environment is a plus.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with ASC842 leases and fixed assets is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and reconciliations with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Support FP&A with variance analyses and close meetings.
• Assist internal and external audits and tax processes.
• Participate in process improvements and automation efforts.
