Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant for a Part-Time/Remote role. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on accounting support during a busy period, including year-end activities, audit preparation, and an accounting software conversion.

You will own recurring accounting tasks, reconciliations, and workpapers, with limited supervision and a focus on accuracy in Excel. The role emphasizes independent work, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt established processes.

Qualifications

• Senior Accountant-level experience or above.
• Strong accounting foundation, including reconciliations, month-end accounting, and audit support.
• Proficient in modern Excel features and troubleshooting formulas and workbooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly accounting workbooks and supporting schedules.
• Perform account and general ledger reconciliations.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between supporting schedules and the GL.
• Prepare and maintain audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end accounting activities.
• Prepare AR roll-forwards and other activity schedules.
• Support accounting activities related to operations.
• Review partnership agreements and extract financial information.
• Translate information from agreements into Excel workpapers.
• Assist with closing entries.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Excel-based accounting files.
• Collaborate with Controller to resolve discrepancies.
