Job summary

Kforce's client, a world class health care company, is seeking a Staff Accountant. This full remote role requires you to reside in NY, NJ, CT, or PA. The position focuses on preparing managerial financial reports and handling various general accounting tasks, with opportunities surrounding audits, bank reconciliations, and variance analyses.

The role emphasizes strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a team while supporting monthly and year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience including financial statements, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a team-oriented approach and cultivate positive working relationships.
• SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management financial reports and handle general accounting functions.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual managerial financial reports/statements.
• Prepare month and year-end schedules and analyses.
• Assist with adjusting and closing entries and transfers for routine month/year-end.
• Assist with year-end audit processes and prepare comparative reports and fluctuation explanations.
• Prepare bank and account reconciliations.
• Work on Budget-to-Actual reports and analyze revenue/expense fluctuations; prepare variance analyses for management.
