LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established real estate private equity firm in Palm Beach Gardens to hire a Senior Accountant. This role offers ownership of financial reporting, exposure to real estate development, and career growth within an established team.

The ideal candidate brings full-cycle accounting, project accounting, and ERP system experience, with a preference for real estate accounting. A hybrid schedule and strong communication skills are essential.

Competenze

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience at Senior level or higher.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Full-cycle accounting experience including GL management, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with project accounting, budgeting, cash flow reporting, or cost analysis.
• Real estate development/construction/investment accounting preferred.
• ERP/accounting systems experience with Sage/Timberline or Yardi.
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and cross-functional collaboration ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the Opportunity

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well‑established real estate private equity and investment firm in Palm Beach Gardens to identify an experienced Senior Accountant to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to take ownership of financial reporting, gain exposure to real estate development and investment projects, and continue advancing their career within an established organization.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, and ERP systems. Prior experience in real estate development, construction, or real estate investment accounting is highly preferred.

Candidates do not need to have held the exact title of Investment Development Accountant. Professionals with backgrounds as Senior Accountants, Project Accountants, Cost Accountants, or Development Accountants are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for assigned real estate development projects and assets.
• Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and quarterly financial statements.
• Track development costs, construction budgets, vendor commitments, contracts, and project expenses.
• Prepare and update cash flow schedules, review budgets versus actual results, and support financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with asset managers, investment teams, joint venture partners, and ownership groups.
• Support accounting for property acquisitions, sales, refinancing transactions, and ownership distributions.
• Review construction draws, vendor invoices, and payment approvals.
• Prepare financial analyses, supporting schedules, and management reports.
• Assist with year-end audits, financial documentation, and internal reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and financial reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Senior Accountant level or above.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including general ledger management, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with project accounting, job costing, budgeting, cash flow reporting, or cost analysis.
• Real estate development, construction, property accounting, or investment accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Sage/Timberline, Yardi, or comparable ERP/accounting systems preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated career progression, professional stability, and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Base Salary: Up to $110,000, depending on experience.
• Discretionary year-end performance bonus.

Work Schedule

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Applicants must be comfortable commuting to Palm Beach Gardens four days per week.

Compensation: Up to $110,000 Base + Discretionary Annual Bonus
