Senior Executive Recruiter at LHH/Parker and Lynch

LHH is working with a real estate company in the Dallas area that focuses in the apartment space. They are seeking a Senior Real Estate Accountant to support the team in managing the financial operations for assigned properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, as well as showcasing flexibility and creativity in a dynamic and growing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting, including processing accounts payable, posting journal entries, handling monthly accruals/amortizations, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee multiple properties within the company’s portfolio.
  • Address Property Managers' inquiries related to monthly charges, invoice coding, and month-end reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Review monthly charges, Gross Potential Rent reports, and other AR balances.
  • Calculate and process monthly property management fees.
  • Prepare month-end reporting packages and analyze budget-to-actual variances.
  • Assist in preparing annual work papers and reconciliations for year-end tax returns and external audits.
  • Provide support to the Property Accounting Manager and Vice President with cash flow analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in property-level accrual accounting within real estate.
  • Experience in multifamily property accounting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Entrata, MRI, and/or Yardi is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive, flexible, and coachable mindset is essential for success in this role.
