Job summary

Atlanta Housing Authority seeks a Senior Accountant to manage accounting for AHA-Owned and Mixed-Income properties, PBRA, and related activities. You will lead month-end close, consolidate GL data, and prepare financial statements with minimal supervision.

You must have strong GAAP/GASB knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent communication. The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting with 5+ years’ experience; CPA or MBA is preferred. Office-based with Georgia-specific regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with five+ years of experience.
• Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general ledger oversight and internal audit of balance sheet accounts.
• Review and upload monthly property trial balances and generate financial performance reports.
• Prepare and review quarterly PMD Financial Management Report and OIP, and coordinate with PMD meetings.
