Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accountant based in Manhattan to join a lean finance team. Reporting to the CFO, you will own financial reporting and accounting across private credit funds and the management company, with opportunities to advance toward Assistant Controller and Controller.

You will work with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors, ensuring accurate reporting, cash management, and operational improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in US GAAP, partnership accounting, and investment fund structures.
• Experience with private credit, PE, or hedge fund accounting is preferred.
• Ability to own financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with fund administrators, external auditors, and tax advisors.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly investor reports.
• Support portfolio valuations, capital calls, distributions, and performance calculations.
• Assist month-end close, budgeting, and variance analysis for the management company.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and system implementations.
