Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee cash management and daily accounting activities for assigned projects.
  • Oversee accounts payable processing and verify payment details per treasury policies.
  • Prepare cash forecasts for clients and management; participate in related cash management activities.
  • Perform the monthly accounting close process.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for clients and lenders.
  • Coordinate monthly management reports with plant and asset management; perform variance analysis.
  • Serve as primary accounting contact for assigned projects; maintain client relationships.
  • Manage debt compliance and prepare lender certificates, reports, and requests.
  • Prepare operating budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Oversee annual financial audits; prepare workpapers, schedules, and audit documentation.
  • Support asset management with financial models and contract compliance.

Senior Accountant - Energy & Power Generation
Position Summary

A leading provider of project, asset management, commercial, and operations services to the energy industry is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance and accounting team.

This is a hands-on role requiring a broad range of accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and project accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable "rolling up their sleeves," managing multiple priorities, and working closely with clients, lenders, asset managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience, with experience in project accounting, financial audit, or a similar environment. Experience in power generation, renewable energy, or other energy-related industries is highly desirable.

Senior Vice President - Finance & Accounting

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for cash management and daily accounting activities for assigned projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and oversee accounts payable processing, including verification of payment details for new and existing vendors in accordance with treasury policies.
  • Prepare cash forecasts for clients and management and participate in cash management activities related to accounts payable, debt service, and equity transactions.
  • Perform the monthly accounting close process.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with plant and asset management teams to prepare monthly management reports, including actual-to-budget variance analysis.
  • Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for assigned projects and maintain strong client relationships regarding accounting and financial matters.
  • Manage debt compliance requirements and prepare required lender certificates, reports, and requests.
  • Prepare annual operating budgets and periodic operating forecasts.
  • Oversee annual financial audits, including preparation of comprehensive workpapers, schedules, PBC materials, financial statements, audit reports, and footnotes for external auditors.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for external tax consultants.
  • Support asset management with financial models, contract compliance, and day-to-day operational needs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal accounting and cash controls.
  • Respond to client and management ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
