Selby Jennings is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team. This role combines payroll, compliance, reporting, and employee support responsibilities, partnering with finance, payroll, and operations to ensure accurate payroll administration and timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting or payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting, payroll, or finance experience
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, reconciliations, and compliance requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting, ERP, or payroll systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organization
• High degree of professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Support payroll processing and maintain accurate employee and payroll records
• Assist with employee onboarding, payroll changes, and employee status updates
• Prepare reconciliations, reports, and analyses related to payroll, accruals, and compliance
• Monitor and track employee leave balances, including vacation, sick leave, and other PTO programs
• Support multi-state payroll and leave compliance requirements
• Process payroll adjustments, reimbursements, wage changes, and other compensation-related transactions
• Partner with accounting, payroll, and operational teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness
• Support special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed
