What You’ll Be Responsible For

As a Senior Accountant focused on partnerships and operating expenses, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across a range of revenue and cost areas. You will take full ownership of the month-end close process related to partnership revenue and select opex categories. Your work will support internal and external reporting requirements, inform business decisions, and help improve operational efficiency through automation and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Work On

• Manage month-end close procedures including journal entries and reconciliations for partnership revenue and opex accounts
• Analyze fluctuations in key balance sheet and P&L accounts to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Prepare support for SEC disclosures and other external financial reporting
• Review partnership agreements to ensure revenue and cost accounting complies with US GAAP, including ASC 606
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, Revenue Ops, and Business Development to identify and implement process improvements
• Support SOX, audit, and tax compliance efforts by maintaining detailed documentation and responding to requests
• Contribute to special projects and ad hoc accounting analyses as needed
  
  

Core Requirements

What you’ll bring to Circle:

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 principles
• Proven experience performing complex reconciliations and variance analyses
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• CPA certification and/or Big 4 public accounting experience
• Experience with Oracle, Slack, MacOS, and GSuite
• Demonstrated passion for process optimization and automation
• Experience working cross-functionally in a remote-first, high-growth environment

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range

$102,500 - $137,500
