Job summary

CFS in Hartford, CT is looking for a Staff Accountant to join its growing manufacturing accounting team. This on-site role supports journal entries, maintains the general ledger, and assists with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, has at least 3 years of relevant experience, and demonstrates advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc projects for leadership.
• Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
