Job summary

Hines is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the family office’s financial operations in a fast-paced environment in Houston. You will manage the general ledger, cash reporting, and investment accounting for multiple entities while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

You will collaborate with tax and treasury teams, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and contribute to process improvements and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong Excel skills and GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and investment accounting.
• Familiarity with trusts, partnerships, LLCs, and private investments.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities, trusts, and investment vehicles.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial schedules and reports.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Assist with third party valuations as needed and coordinate with tax team.
• Record investment transactions and support due diligence and reporting.
