Job summary

Hines seeks an accomplished accounting and finance leader to join its family office, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, and investment operations across a diverse portfolio.

You will partner with principals and senior leadership, drive automation, deliver timely insights, manage tax planning, and mentor staff in a confidential, service-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; Master's is a plus.
• CPA designation is required.
• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Family office experience with trusts, estates, partnerships and private investments is highly desirable.
• Experience leading projects, managing advisor relationships, or supervising staff.
• Experience with treasury management and cash forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality and polished communication with principals and advisors.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Collaborative leadership and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for multiple entities, trusts, partnerships, LLCs and investment structures.
• Direct ad hoc and recurring accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports for principals and leadership.
• Develop meaningful financial analyses to support investment, liquidity and strategic planning decisions.
• Coordinate with internal tax to provide accurate accounting records for tax reporting.
• Oversee tax payments and ensure they are recorded in the ledgers.
• Lead wealth preservation and succession planning initiatives.
• Oversee treasury management, cash forecasting and liquidity optimization.
• Coordinate with external advisors and staff to support family office operations.
