Job summary

CS&L CPAs in Sarasota, FL seeks a Senior Accountant to lead daily operations, financial planning, and client-focused service. You will partner with firm leadership to optimize performance, oversee budgeting and payroll, and implement scalable processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

The role offers hybrid onsite work with occasional travel to Bradenton and Tampa, leveraging a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience; CPA firm or law firm preferred.
• Experience leveraging technology and automation to enhance accounting workflows.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, billing, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with accounting software platforms and practice management systems (Intacct, Bill.com, CCH).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Bradenton and Tampa.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's daily operations across multiple locations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, payroll, billing, collections, cash flow, and financial reporting.
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives.
• Streamline workflows using technology and scalable processes.
• Direct HR functions including recruiting, benefits, and development.
• Manage technology, vendors, facilities, and business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing workplace culture.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field
